The Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House will echo to the sounds of Buenos Aires when Australia's finest tango dancers compete in the Australian Tango Championship. On Easter Sunday, April 8, couples will dance before the judges, two of the world's finest tango dancers, Sergio Cortazzo and Soledad Rivero, who will arrive from Buenos Aires for this event.
Then Sergio and Soledad will join with former World Tango Champions Gisela Galeassi and Gaspar Godoy and the orchestra, Cuarteto de Tango of Daniel Ruggiero to present "A Night in Buenos Aires". Directed by Australian Tango Champion Fabio Robles, "A Night in Buenos Aires" will showcase the history of the Argentine tango and the music that has created this entrancing dance taking the audience on a journey from the tradition to the tantalizing, fusing Argentina and Australia.
